A pastel drawing will take around 2 weeks. An acrylic painting is around 3 to 4 weeks. An oil painting depends on size, but will take about 1.5 to 2 months.
Oil paint takes a very long time to dry. I work in layers, building a picture up over time, and I need each layer to partially dry before adding the next. Then the piece has to be completely dry in order to varnish it, and this can take a very long time! If you need a painting quickly, acrylic is a much quicker option.
Framing is not included but can be arranged for an additional cost. Framing a drawing or acrylic painting costs around £15-20 extra, depending on size. All oil paintings come on a box canvas with painted edges and a wire on the back, so they are ready to hang and a frame is not necessary.

For landscapes: I just need the name of the location and I'll do the rest, unless you have a particular photograph which you'd like used.
For pets and people: I require a few good quality reference photos in order to capture a great likeness. Most mobile phones these days have a good enough camera to get an image which I can work from. Ideally I need a close up, high resolution picture of the subject's face and shoulders, so the eyes are clearly visible, with good lighting. The better the reference images, the better the likeness I can capture! If in doubt, feel free to email me some pictures and I'll let you know if they'll work.
